This is Gansey. I just wanted to thank you, for the candle. It was very unexpected, and kind. Thank you for thinking of me, and if I may say, have a very happy New Year.

[ a tiny bit late, but Kaneki delivers. Honestly, he doesn't celebrate Christmas, but New Year is something he is much more fond of and he will be giving a present to all the people he has a relatively positive relationship with; even if he only spoke to Saint Walker once, he enjoyed their conversation a lot and he really is thankful for it. So he will be dropping by to leave some Mochi Rice Cake. Enjoy! ]

[On this, the most important romance-related holiday of the year, Saint Walker receives a card delivered by a flying pig. The pig was probably supposed to look sort of like cupid, as is appropriate for the day, but Mabel made the wings way more bat-like than cherubic. Oops!

[His very first Valentine's Day gift! Saint Walker will regard the card with the utmost fondness and will send Mabel a text message right back (which he writes like an old man, complete with signatures and greetings) to offer her his thanks.

The card gets propped up on his desk as the first decoration in his room.]

Regardless of whether or not Saint Walker is around to pick up the phone this is what he's going to say. Hopefully Walker will know it's him despite it coming from Hazel's communicator.]

Hi, I'm at Heropa 11 [Insert full address here. and there's been a little incident. I need a bit of broken glass replaced and maybe a bit of touching up on the patio. When can you get here for a consultation on the costs?

[Not his home, per se, but the Doctor and Hazel seem to like it well enough. Or, at least, as much as Hazel likes anything.

[ so the Twelfth Doctor is actually competent! And made a little 'here's what's going on' video that the Eighth Doctor saw via the sonic sunglasses. Turns out that losing one's memory is enough to make them properly paranoid (or, at least, enough to make his future regeneration properly paranoid. This Doctor's a bit rubbish when it comes to things like 'planning ahead.') So, while the Doctor knows that Saint Walker is his housemate, Saint Walker...just doesn't know that this is the Doctor.

He's in the kitchen, looking for something, in clothes that are still a size or so too big on him, when the Doctor spots Saint Walker and gives him a gentle smile. ]

Saint Walker, I presume?

[Saint Walker is puttering around the kitchen as normal, but this time, it seems he's making a few new candles (it's really a fascinating hobby to be taught). The kitchen smells more like a forest than a kitchen, but Walker enjoys it. He's leaning over one of the pots, breathing it in when the Doctor walks in, and he greets the perceived stranger with a smile.]

You are correct! [One of the Doctor's friends, perhaps? Or Hazel's, or Jim's?] What do you need of me, brother?

[After a day had gone by with the revelation of Riku's death and Sabriel having taken Kagami away to jail, Nike had shut herself away from her surroundings and everyone. The entire situation concerning them and other issues had affected her in a way she had never once imagined she would feel once more: despair. A despair she hasn't felt since she was a little girl. It was terrifying to be in her current state in a world that wasn't attempting to comfort her as it would back home. She needed to talk to someone. Someone that she wasn't afraid of, someone she could fully trust, and someone who would view the situation without bias and can offer advice. Saint Walker was who she thought of.]

...umm, I-I'm sorry to bother you, Brother Walker. [Her voice was unstable at best as she attempts to hide her true emotions with a tired and positive tone, but was unable to. She'll sigh before continuing on.] Don't worry though. It's nothing too serious...I just need...advice on something. Please call me back whenever you can. It isn't urgent...

[Brother. He has called many people that, but they have responded with either acceptance or, more commonly, confusion, and even revulsion. He keeps it up nonetheless because provided it does not offend them, it is a part of him, a part of his people. He means to keep it, keep them alive.

To hear someone call him brother in return... it takes his breath away for a moment, as if the past has come flooding back to him, as if his people have, in some small way, returned.

He cannot dwell on such a thing, not when Nike needs help, but the title means more to him than he could possibly express.]

Anything that is important to you, sister, is urgent to me as well. What do you need? Do you prefer to speak on this in person?

[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Saint Walker delivered via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]

Dear, Mr. Walker -

We have not spoken before, but my name is Petyr Baelish. I serve as the ambassador for Maurtia Falls. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.

For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond.
