Over a year, yes.

It was quite an adjustment, but there are many good people here. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet them all and to provide my services to the people of Earth.

And yourself, Kotetsu Kaburagi?

its gonna be three years for me in two months
me and my partner were talking about how weve known each other longer here than we did back home
so thats been pretty cool

[Especially since they were about to retire and part ways in Sternbild, which is something he tries really hard not to think about.]

But I am a wanderer. It's rare that I know many for a long enough period of time to be acquainted with them here as well. I am glad to have had the honour to get to know and live with those I have met here.

And I am glad that you have a companion with you here as well.

At times, yes.

But I always have my memories to keep me company, and they are enough to keep me warm for as long as I will live.

sorry if its kind of personal and you dont have to answer if you dont wanna, but is there a reason you cant settle down and make memories without having to leave everyone behind?

It is fine. It is a story that tends to make others uncomfortable, so I do not often share it, but it certainly is no secret.

My planet and everyone I loved with it was destroyed; I am the last of my kind. I have devoted my life instead to serving the universe and ensuring that the tragedy of my planet is never repeated again. I work to spread hope and peace to those who need it most.

To become a traveler and a wanderer is a small price to pay in order to fulfill my duty.
