[When he returns the call, Nike almost wants to tell him not to fuss, it wasn't important, she simply needed advice, but none of those words could be said. Instead she will accept the concern for what it was because he would still feel concern and place importance to her feelings regardless of the way she felt. It was his nature to be as thoughtful and perspective as he was. She couldn't lie to him for that and an even more important reason: he reminded her of home. And right now, she needed that -- someone from home to listen and keep her calm and help alter her perspective a bit.]
A-Advice and guidance...for one. I...I don't know what to do right now. I feel very angry and bitter and disgusted with someone I don't wish to feel towards, but I can't seem to stop feeling that way. [A short pause.] ...if you can come over, I would appreciate it...but if you can't right now then I don't mind just talking. I need someone to keep me from wanting to talk to the sky right now... [The idea of allowing her surroundings to swallow her up sounded tempting, but she really did need to think, not avoid her problems right now.]
Sometimes, we must feel these negative emotions in order to fully process them, [he says, but his voice is gentle as he says so.] Do not feel any shame towards yourself for feeling such a way, Nike. All it means is that you are alive, and that you are alive enough to feel, and to feel strongly.
